Effort to help children of couple killed in horrific Hanska shooting

Justin Reinarts, 50, of Hanska, and Tabitha Trescott, 32, of New Ulm, were fatally shot in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Donations are pouring in for the families of a couple fatally shot in the southern Minnesota town of Hanska earlier this week, allegedly by the woman's ex-boyfriend.

Justin Reinarts, 50, of Hanska, and Tabitha Trescott, 32, of New Ulm, were killed at Reinarts' home early Sunday morning, according to the Brown County Sheriff's Office.

Trescott’s ex-boyfriend, 45-year-old Randy Zimmerman of Courtland, has since been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting.

He’s accused of breaking into their house on Blessum Street West and shooting Trescott in the face before threatening one of her sons, who then called police.

Reinarts, a local volunteer firefighter, was also fatally shot in the head in the incident, which sparked a manhunt for Zimmerman that ended with his arrest in Iowa at around 4:10 p.m. Sunday.

GoFundMe campaigns have since been created to support the children Reinarts and Trescott in the wake of their deaths.

Both victims are survived by children from previous relationships, Trescott by her sons Terrance and Charlie, and Reinarts by sons Austin and Mason.

“In a moment, their world was forever changed. As they face life without their dads love, laughter, and guidance, we are coming together to lift them up with the support they’ll need in the days, months, and years ahead,” the GoFundMe for Reinarts' family reads.

"Justin will be remembered for his kindness, his hardworking spirit, and his deep love for his children. Let’s honor his memory by ensuring that Austin and Mason continue to feel surrounded by the love and strength that Justin gave so freely to everyone he met."

As of Friday, the GoFundMe for Reinarts' family had reached around $7,900 of its $9,000 goal, while the GoFundMe for Trescott’s family had surpassed its $5,000 goal.

Hanska fire chief Mikale Gustafson told the Star Tribune he had "never seen [Reinarts] happier" than during his relationship with Trescott.

She quickly solved the bonus round and more than tripled her money.

A Minnesotan won big on "Wheel of Fortune" this week.

On Tuesday's episode of the long-running show, now hosted by Ryan Seacrest, Delinda Blanck Rood of Rosemount made winning look pretty easy.

Before the bonus round, she'd already racked up $20,650 in prize money. But she more than tripled that total before the end of the episode, with her husband Mark and daughter Molly watching nearby.

In the bonus round, which was shared by the City of Rosemount on social media, Rood quickly solved the puzzle under the clue "Around the House."

"For my mother-in-law," she said, "warm quilt."

That fast, correct answer landed her another $45,000, for a total of $65,650.

While the episode aired this week, Delinda and her family have had to keep the secret under wraps for a long time because the episode was taped all the way back in April.

"What an AMAZING experience!!! So happy to finally share our secret!" she wrote on Facebook.

Suspected gang member charged in fatal shooting at downtown Minneapolis bar

By BringMeTheNews

November 7, 2025

Arlonzo Williams Jr., 26, was recently charged in connection with the Tuesday shooting inside Bar Zia in downtown Minneapolis.

A suspected gang member shot four people at a downtown Minneapolis bar — one fatally — after being let in by security, charges allege.

Arlonzo Williams Jr., 26, is charged with one count of second-degree murder, three counts of second-degree attempted murder and one count of illegally possessing ammunition/firearm.

He’s accused of killing one person and injuring three more in a Tuesday shooting inside Bar Zia in downtown Minneapolis. Another man, Dantrell DaJuan Clark, 24, is charged as an accomplice on the same counts.

According to the criminal complaint, officers responded to a report of a shooting at the bar — located on the 400 block of 4th Street South — just after 11:30 p.m.

Inside the bar, police found one victim with multiple gunshot wounds in his torso and head. The victim, identified as 21-year-old DaMarco Fletcher Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other victims were wounded but expected to survive.

Witnesses told police that the shooter appeared to fire at Fletcher, striking the other three victims in the process.

Surveillance footage showed Williams and two accomplices – one of the Clark – enter the bar just before 11 p.m. Williams was unarmed at the time, according to the complaint.

The suspects were patted down by security and given wristbands. They then exited and reentered the bar multiple times, showing the security guards their wristbands, but were not re-checked for weapons when they reentered.

Minutes after entering the bar for the final time, Williams shot Fletcher while they were both on the dance floor.

Williams, Clark, and the other accomplice are suspected members of the Lows gang in North Minneapolis, according to the complaint.

Minneapolis Police Department Chief Brian O'Hara said that the department "saw an increase in calls for service" related to Bar Zia two years ago and "worked with the bar to change security measures."

Those measures had appeared to be working until a few weeks ago, when the department again saw an increase in calls, according to O’Hara.
